Kristen Bell has been nominated for in the Best performance From A Human Female category in this years Spike TV Video Game Awards for her role as Lucy Stillman in Assassin Creed II.

The actress goes up against Tricia Helfer, Eliza Duskhu and Megan Fox.

Enrico Colantoni won Best Actor In A Continuing Series for his role in Flashpoint at Canada's Gemini Awards last night. The show, which got an outstanding 19 nominations also won Best Drama and Best Director.

Colantoni said, "We have fun making it because any actor who says they never wanted to play a cop is lying. I get to play a cop in my hometown.”

There's lots of buzz about the release of game Assassin's Creed 2 which Kristen Bell returns to voice the character of Lucy. The actress hosted the release party last week:





At the party, EOnline! noted that Kristen and Dax kept their distance:

Kristen was hosting a Maxim party for Assassin's Creed II at Voyeur but walked the red carpet without her funnyman.

Could it be because Dax has no game? "He doesn't play video games," Kristen told E! News. "He doesn't have the motor skills!"

Even inside the bash her beau kept his distance.

"They were on opposite ends of the room," a partyer says, noting Kristen's man also refused to take any photos with her. Some boyfriend!

Dax has recently moved into Kristen Bell's house so we can't see trouble in paradise here.

Away from the drama at the party, AC2 scriptwriter Corey May gushed about working with Kristen:

“We were fortunate to have our cast of present characters return for the sequel. Kristen Bell would play Lucy once more. Working with her was one of the highlights of the process for me. I was (and remain) a HUGE fan of Veronica Mars,” wrote May. “She’s got this amazing ability to blend sweetness with bad-assery which is exactly who Lucy is. You saw the sweetness in AC1 and you’ll see the bad-assery in AC2. She’s a phenomenal actress. Oh and just to clear up any confusion – Lucy is folding down her finger in the “reveal” scene in AC1 when she lets Desmond know she’s an Assassin. It hasn’t been cut off. So spread the word!"

Born in Pennsylvania, Amanda began her showbusiness career as a child model aged just 11.

She originally hoped to be a classical singer, spending five years studying under a Broadway voice coach.

After supporting roles in Mean Girls and Alpha Dog, she hit superstardom in last year's blockbusting Mamma Mia!

Despite her training, she admits to being insecure about her voice. "I'd see myself on a monitor and I would be like, 'Eww. Who wants to see me? Who wants to listen to that voice?'"

Amanda recently revealed there may be a sequel to the movie. "I've been talking to some insiders and it's not something that they haven't been working on."

The 23-year-old is just 5ft 3ins tall.

Her next film is the steamy thriller Chloe in which she and co-star Julianne Moore strip off for a sex scene.

Despite admitting to a childhood crush on Leonardo DiCaprio, Amanda is single.

Amanda's surname is pronounced "Sigh-frid".

When not acting, her hobbies include tennis, collecting jeans and studying the weather, a subject that's always fascinated her.

Kristen Bell is in therapy and she's not afraid to admit it.

“I’m a big advocate of therapy, it’s not taboo out here. You’re constantly talking about it, referencing your therapist or giving your friend’s the number of your therapist,” she said. “It’s only when you travel a bit out of L.A. that people don’t want to talk about it. They want to keep it hidden, but we don’t need too. I’m proud of the fact I see a therapist, it shows you’re a strong person and that you want to grow and change.”
