NBC has cut new drama Day One starring Julie Gonzalo to a mini-series. It will now air as a four-hour movie event.

The move is likely to be a cost cutting exercise giving the network the chance to see the ratings of the mini-series before deciding whether to extend to the original 13 episode run.

In an interview with Instyle, Amanda Seyfried revealed her horror as she tripped down the stairs during her performance at this years Oscars.

The actress said, "The evening before the ceremony, we rehearsed all night and at the dress rehearsal on the day, we nailed it. But during the actual Oscars show, it was a disaster. I fell down the stairs! Just as well Dominic was holding my hand or I’d have been on my a**. Then my heel got caught in my fishnets during one of the really important turns."

Seyfried also revealed if it was love at first sight for her and boyfriend Dominic Cooper. "It so wasn't instant love. I thought he was gay. I didn't know many Englishmen and it was just the way he dressed - he is quite fashionable. Dominic and I split off towards the end of filming a little bit, but it was never anything that was real. It takes time. Life is complicated."

Seems Seyfried is a fan of the men in England. "Charm is another thing they have - they’re good at putting you at ease. You feel like an equal, or at least comfortable. Dominic is very charming. That makes it easy for someone to want to be around him."

Amanda Seyfried loves Chloe Sevigny's cast-offs. The two star together in hit TV drama Big Love and have since become good friends.

"Chloe is kind of like a big sister. She has definitely inspired me, particularly with fashion. She gives me clothes if they don't fit her, like a Balenciaga playsuit that I wore for almost a week non-stop! And loads of jeans.

"When her fashion label Opening Ceremony first came out, I said, 'I really like, but it's expensive - can I have some?' "

Amanda has also revealed she feels under pressure to look her best since she became famous and often rethinks her wardrobe choices if she knows she will be followed by photographers when she goes out in public.

The 23-year-old blonde beauty explained to Britain's InStyle magazine: "Definitely, if I know there are paparazzi waiting outside my hotel I put on something a little nicer than I would normally wear.

"For big events, I work with a stylist called Penny Lovell - she was recommended to me by Ginnifer Goodwin, who always looks incredible."
