Following on from our 2008 review last year, we present to you Kristen's amazing 2009:
January can be cold and pretty depressing following the Christmas and New Year celebrations, but Kristen lifted the doom and gloom and added a touch of sparkle when she attended The Golden Globes Party as well as the Annual Critics Choice Awards. She was also spotted at LAX looking casual yet stylish as she sported her now trademark hat. The girl sure knew how to travel in style:
In February, Kristen attended her first of many film premieres - this time the long awaited Fanboys. This was quickly followed by a front row seat at many shows at New York Fashion Week where she did not fail to impress with an array of outfits.
March saw a return to the When In Rome set and LAX airport which was fast becoming her second home. But she found time to squeeze in a song when she performed at the "A Night At Sardi's" for The Alzheimers Association. She also popped along to Disney's premiere of Race To Witch Mountain:
April was a very busy month for Kristen who turned out to support various product launches, lunches and she turned up in the audience of hit show American Idol.
But April also saw Invisible Children's epic event - The Rescue. Across the world, in every major city, people turned out to represent the children who have been abducted in the war torn country Uganda. There they patiently waited to be rescued by media moguls, politicians and celebrities. Being a subject so close to Kristen's heart, the actress turned up in LA and San Francisco to join the cause.
Kristen continued to support American Idol in May when she attended a showcase of the talent. She was also pictured out in New York after which she went along to the MTV Movie Awards where she met up with actor Jim Carrey:
June kicked off with the premiere of The Hangover where Kristen went along to support friend Bradley Cooper. The busy actress then took a well earned break when she flew out to Hawaii with boyfriend Dax Shepard and enjoyed the sun and the sea, and even the parrots! She also attended the Maui Film Festival while over there proving she's a workaholic! She returned to the mainland USA to once again support Invisible Children for their How It Ends event where she rallied the troops with a motivational speech. The very next day, she took her place on the red carpet for the Annual Saturn Awards:
July started off with a quiet and dignified Cosmopolitan Party but soon gathered pace with the Phillip Lim LA store opening and hit its peak with the frenzy of Comic-Con where Kristen promoted her animated film Astro Boy:
After a busy July, the Annual Day Of Indulgence was just what Kristen needed in August. She then went to the Teen Choice Awards and presented an award with hearthrob Ed Westwick. Then work was calling when she started filming scenes for Disney flick You Again:
September was the start of a busy time for Kristen. In between filming You Again, the actress jetted off to Bora, Bora and then Sydney, Australia for the premiere of her film Couples Retreat. She had fun while she was there as she went on a boat trip around the harbour and a visit to the zoo:
If there was a manic month in the history of Kristen Bell's life so far, October 2009 was it. The girl went global. Literally. Flying back from Sydney after the Couples Retreat world premiere, Kristen hit LA for the US premiere. Then Germany. Then the UK. Then back to LA for the premiere of Astro Boy! Phew. In between the jetsetting, our golden girl still managed to fit in an appearance on the Conan O'Brien show as well as photoshoot, a product launch and hosted an Invisible Children party. After all that work, she deserved some retail therapy and a trip to the fair with friends:
Shopping continued for Kristen in November when she went to the Farmers Market and was also spotted at the Henri Bendel store. She attended the launch of Calgary store Holt Renfrew and hosted the party to launch game Assassin's Creed II which she lends her voice to. She rounded off the month at the American Music Awards and returned to Hawaii for Tom Arnold's wedding:
The lead up to Christmas was quiet for Kristen and rightly so after the busy year she had. December saw a return trip to the Farmers Market in LA maybe to purchase gifts for loved ones. And what better way to round off a year than a visit to Craig Ferguson's chat show to help him celebrate his 1,000th show. There is no better way because we love Kristen and we love Craig. Together, they were the best Christmas present ever.
VMUK would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year. We hope 2010 showers you with nothing but great things, and lots of KBell. Thank you for your continued love and support. It means so much to us. See you 2010!
