To help restore a cheerleader's ruined reputation, Veronica turns to funky computer geek Mac to find the hacker responsible for leaking the embarrassing, private results of a popular online "purity test" to all of Neptune High.

Keith helps Wallace and his Mum with an unruly tenant in their building.

Later, to get answers about Lilly's murder, Veronica attempts to visit Lilly's confessed, condemned killer Abel Koontz in prison.

Veronica: So that one day in your memoirs, you'll describe me as inscrutable.
Wallace: I was leaning more toward bonkers.
Veronica: I'll take what I can get.

Veronica: Don't worry. It's his speciality. Bustin' heads and breakin' hearts.

Keith: Yeah. I went over there. Wallace's mom had a plan and I didn't want to overstep.
Veronica: Overstepping is your main form of transportation.

Veronica: [Reading] "Dear Duncan. I want you to know that I still love you very much and I think about you constantly. Every time I see you, my heart breaks. I need to tell you that when we were dating I had.....VD! I hope you didn't catch anything from me." Am I naked? Because in my nightmares, I'm usually naked.

Meg: You do have friends, Veronica.

Alicia: I don't know if you've heard some of the things they say about you.
Keith: Oh, I know, trust me. I barely let me socialise with myself. I'm a bad influence.

Koontz:: Think about it Veronica. Look in a mirror. Are you the product of a schluppy sheriff or the King and Queen of the prom?

In this episode, Veronica visits Abel Koontz in jail. This scene was actually part of the original pilot script where he also revealed he had a daughter. This fact was not discovered until the 16th episode "Betty and Veronica".

The character of Meg Manning was specifically written for Alona Tal. The actress originally auditioned for the part of Veronica.
